Scotty-Cookins-Fried-Chicken

So you can’t have KFC on a lazy bank holiday Monday. What’s the next best thing? Make your own of course, it’s crazy how easy this is!!

Ingredients

  • Chicken (drumsticks, wings, breast, thighs)
  • Plain flour
  • Corn Flakes
  • Plain Flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 chicken Oxo
  • Butter

Crush a shed load of corn flakes fine into a big bowl and mix in a teaspoon of salt, pepper and paprika, whisk an egg in another bowl, and put out some flour in another.
Dip the chicken in flour, then egg, then the corn flakes. Deep fry in oil at 190c (or in a pan on high) for 5 mins each and finish in oven at 170c for 5/10mins for wings and breast. 15/20mins for thighs or drumsticks.

Then make chicken gravy for proper KFC, I literally put a teaspoon butter in a pan, melted it down, then added a flat teaspoon of flour, to make a soft paste, straight away start mixing in a chicken @oxo cube in water, but a bit at a time until you get a nice thick gravy, add salt and pepper and thyme and boom done.
Dollop a load of beans and BBQ in another pan and make some chips and your laughing! Scotty-Cookins-Fried-Chicken haha!
